Because the post anchors into the jaw instead of resting on the gum, it supports the bone beneath it and helps preserve the natural structure of your face.
A missing tooth is rarely only about the gap it leaves. It quietly changes how you chew, how you speak, and over time how the neighbouring teeth and the jawbone hold their shape. What are All-On-X (All-on-4 and All-on-6) Implants?
When most or all of the teeth in an arch are missing, failing, or beyond saving, a full arch of fixed replacement teeth can be secured on as few as four to six implants. This is what is known as All-on-4 or All-on-6, depending on how many implants your case calls for.
Rather than placing one implant for every tooth, the technique uses a small number of carefully angled implants to carry a complete, fixed set of teeth. For many people it means moving from loose or missing teeth to a stable, non-removable arch, and often within a much shorter treatment timeline than traditional implant work. All-on-4 tends to suit arches with enough bone toward the front of the jaw, while All-on-6 spreads the load across more implants, which can be the better choice where extra support or stability is needed. Which one is right for you is a clinical decision we make together after imaging and assessment, never a one-size-fits-all package.

Single Dental Implants
When a single tooth is missing, one implant can replace it without touching the healthy teeth on either side. That is a meaningful advantage over a conventional bridge, which depends on grinding down the neighbouring teeth for support.
A titanium or ceramic post is placed into the jaw to act as the new root, and once it has fused with the bone, a custom crown is fitted on top. The crown is colour-matched and shaped to sit seamlessly among your natural teeth, so the restored tooth blends in rather than stands out. Because a single implant supports itself, it also protects the long-term health of the teeth around it and keeps the jawbone stimulated where the tooth once sat.
Multiple Dental Implants
When several teeth are missing, whether side by side or scattered across the mouth, implants can support individual crowns or a fixed bridge, depending on the pattern of loss.
Replacing several teeth does far more than fill space. It restores balanced chewing across the whole mouth, eases the pressure on your remaining natural teeth, and stops those teeth from drifting into the gaps, which is what leads to bite problems down the track. We plan the number and position of each implant so the finished result feels even and stable rather than patched together.

We use 3D cone beam (CBCT) imaging to capture your jaw in full detail, including bone depth, density, nerve position, and the exact spaces we are working with. From that scan we plan each implant virtually, positioning it for the best possible support, function and appearance before your appointment. Where it suits your case, that digital plan is translated into a guided surgical approach, so placement follows the map we have already worked out instead of being judged on the day.

What to Expect
The process of dental implants is incredibly extensive. It varies greatly between individuals and case complexity. Typically, the following steps are involved:
Consultation and planning. We take a 3D scan, assess your suitability, and plan your case digitally. You leave with a clear treatment plan and written quote.
Implant placement. A titanium implant is placed into the jawbone under local anesthetic. Guided surgery ensures precise positioning. Healing typically takes 3 to 6 months as the implant integrates with the bone.
Crown fitting. Once healed, a custom porcelain crown is designed, manufactured and fitted to the implant. The crown is colour-matched to your surrounding teeth.
