Bulky Old Composites
Narrow Smile Line
Kayla Itsines is a well-established and well-known Australian personal trainer, author and entrepreneur. Kayla successfully founded her own personal training app featuring herself and other elite female personal trainers. She is also the creator of a series of fitness eBooks titled Bikini Body Guides, and a meal-planning and workout app, Sweat with Kayla.
At the age of 14, when Kayla was in year 9, she was playing with her cousins who were trying to open a pocket knife. She decided to prove her strength by opening it with her teeth. This immediately cracked her front four teeth. Thinking it was funny at the time, her parents had taken her to her local dentist who had fixed the cracks with composite resin. These lasted 8 years, eventually chipping again and becoming worn down. From then onward, Kayla had visited the dentist every 3-4 weeks to replace her composite veneers due to the constant chipping.
Kayla had always emphasized that all she wanted was healthy and strong teeth. Though her teeth were already healthy, they were quite fragile and weak.
Dr Dee completed x10 Picasso Porcelain Veneers and provided Kayla with a grinding splint to protect her new restorative work.
As Kayla was an interstate patient flying in, she opted for Dr Dee’s Express Veneer Package. This meant all appointments were completed within 5 business days (express packages can be quoted upon consultation only).
Kayla received 10 Picasso Porcelain Veneers.
With proper planning and extensive preliminary preparation, Kayla’s smile makeover was completed in only 3 appointments.
1st visit: Prep for porcelain veneers
2nd visit: Try in and cement porcelain veneers
3rd visit: Review, clean, removal of excess glue, impressions and lower whitening to match up the shade.
Her aftercare split and lower bleach tray were then mailed out to her for continuing the maintenance of colour at home. Kayla will fly back in 3 months time for a review and clean appointment with Dr Dee.
