Mark was born with a cleft lip and had been in and out of surgery for a large portion of his childhood. As a result of his cleft lip and the continuous trauma due to the surgeries, his teeth became misaligned and malformed. Not only did he endure bullying for his cleft lip but also his teeth, which caused him a lot of distress growing up.
