At Vogue Dental Studios, we are committed to ethical, patient-centered care. We may assist with documentation if you independently decide to pursue the ERS pathway only for suitable patients, but we do not advertise or incentivize this option.

As per the AHPRA guidelines, some red flags for consumers to look out for include:

  • The appointment for the compassionate release of super is by telehealth when a physical, in-person examination is required.

  • Asking for payment upfront.

  • A more expensive treatment is recommended when there are cheaper, comparable treatments available.

  • Inappropriate or aggressive sales tactics.

  • Limited information about ongoing costs.

  • Missing financial consent information.

  • Asking to use your MyGov login.

If you're considering a cosmetic dental treatment and have questions about payment options, our team is here to guide you through the most responsible path forward.

Using Your Super for Dental Treatment

What You Need to Know

At Vogue Dental Studios, we are often asked whether patients can use their superannuation to fund cosmetic dental procedures, such as smile makeovers, as they have been told they could at other practices. While it is legally possible to apply for early release of superannuation under specific circumstances—such as to cover the cost of significant dental treatment—this is not a payment pathway we actively recommend or promote.

Your superannuation is designed to provide financial security in retirement. It is your future safety net, and decisions to access it early should never be taken lightly. While some patients may qualify through the Early Release of Super (ERS) program via the ATO, it is important to weigh the long-term financial implications very carefully.

We encourage patients to:

  • Seek independent financial advice

  • Carefully review the eligibility criteria provided by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

  • Refer to official guidance from AHPRA and the National Boards

This is to ensure the health and financial wellbeing of patients are protected and that healthcare decisions are made responsibly and free from inappropriate influence.

We strongly encourage you to do thorough research, seek independent financial advice, and refer to the relevant AHPRA and government guidelines before making any decisions involving early super release.
