11 year old Cooper is one of our most deserving patients who came through the program. Dr Dee completed smile makeover treatment and smile reconstruction to cover the damaged 20 adult teeth for Cooper. None of his natural teeth were ground down for the procedure.

Cooper's Story

11 year old Cooper is one of our most deserving patients who came through the program this year. He was born with a rare dental condition that causes his teeth to be lacking in enamel, the outer protective layer of the tooth. Because if this, the next layer in, called Dentin, is exposed. The yellow/orange you see on Cooper’s teeth is that Dentin, which acts like a sponge, absorbing anything it comes into contact with. Over time, this puts the tooth at risk of rotting and having further issues.

On top of the dental issues, sadly Cooper was experiencing bullying at school due to the appearance of his teeth. His beautiful mother, Kirsty, concerned for her boy’s health and wellbeing, reached out to us.

The procedure allows our brave little man to smile with happiness and also preserve and protect his compromised teeth. Dr Dee will continue to support Cooper and once his jaw has attained full growth in the next 6-8 years, we will plan for more permanent treatment with tougher porcelain.
